How to Install DTEC Extension?
Use the DTEC Extension in your store by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Install the DTEC Extension from Shopify
- Log in to your Shopify Admin ↗.
- Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels and install the DTEC Extension.
- Let the Shopify iframe installation run completely.
- When it finishes loading, you will be redirected again to this page.
Step 2:
Register Your DTEC Account
- Create your DTEC account on the registration page ↗ using your Shop URL and required details.
- After registration, your account is automatically linked to your Shopify store.

Configure the Extension in Shopify Theme
- Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify Admin ↗.
- Click Customize on your active theme.
- Navigate to the theme editor and add the app after the header to display it on every page.
- Click Add Section or Add Block (depending on your extension type).
- Look for Dtec extension in the list and add it.
- Adjust settings as needed and click Save.

Configure Extension Settings
1. Select Extension Language
• Choose between English or Turkish.
2. Customize Product Layout
• Modify the HTML structure to change how products are displayed.
• Access this in the extension settings under "Product Layout".
3. Set Product Display Limit
• Adjust how many products are shown in search results.
• After making changes, click "Save" to apply updates.
Step 5:
Test the Extension on Your Store
1. Visit your Shopify Storefront.
2. Navigate to the page where your extension is added.
3. Test the following:
• Product search functionality.
• Language selection working correctly.
• Product layout customization applied.
• Display limit restricting product count.
4. If needed, go back and adjust settings.
Step 6:
Troubleshooting Issues
Products not showing?
• Ensure your extension is correctly added in the theme.
• Verify the Read Products permission is enabled.
Language not changing?
• Refresh the page and check the extension settings.
Layout changes not reflecting?
• Clear browser cache or test in incognito mode.
Product limit not working?
• Confirm the limit is set in extension settings.
